All of Wm's awesome health streaks are coming to an end. Ending his 5 year, lifetime streak of no antibiotics, Wm has strep throat. And his first ear infection. We got a notice last week that strep was making the rounds of his class. Then yesterday Wm had the sniffles. Today he said his throat hurt. So I kept him home and made a doctor's appointment. I actually thought about canceling it because Wm was running all around normally and kept saying he "felt healthy and all better." But decided to keep it because strep can be weird. Good thing. I asked him if his ear hurt, after they told us it was infected and he said it felt fine. So weird. But that means I get one more day home with the little sucker since Typhoid Mary can't go to school tomorrow while still contagious.
Wm is a weird sick kid. It's totally hard to tell when he's actually sick since he really behaves no differently. Steve and I were laid up in bed, moaning and immobilized, by that stomach flu. Wm? Running around carrying his barf bucket, playing with legos and occasionally saying, "You know what? My tummy hurts." Then ran to the bathroom. But, I guess, if he ever acts really sick, we'll know something is SERIOUSLY wrong.
I just said, "Wm, how are you feeling?" Response: "Good."
