Wm had a GREAT time at Mimi and Guy's last night! He was quite freaked out by the monsoon that rolled through, so he was a bit jittery when I picked him up. But once safely home, he wouldn't stop talking about how he got a mint dilly bar, he got to eat dinner on the porch, and played Operation and Wack-a-Mole. Clearly, there is fun to be had at Mimi and Guy's! Meanwhile Steve and I saw X-Men...which was really good! There is fun to be had sans Wm.
Steve and I talked and decided that our original plan for giving Wm his NintendoDS may not be the smartest move. We had planned to unveil it in the car on the way to Denver so he would be so excited by the new toy he wouldn't notice he was in the car for nearly 20 hours. But then we realized that he would probably need help figuring out how to use the thing the first couple times - and Steve would be unable to assist while driving. So we figured we should get it now and give him enough experience with it that he is comfortable using it - but just whet his appetite for the car ride. And, turns out, our timing was perfect! They are discontinuing the DS Lite (which isn't 3-D and doesn't have wi-fi...neither of which Wm cares about) so there was a big price cut on the last 4 they had in stock - and once they are gone, they are gone. So we got the DS, 2 games, a nice carrying case, car charger, earbuds, and 4 extra pointers for less than the regular DS! Wm is THRILLED. I said to him, "you are disgustingly spoiled, you know." And goes, "what does that mean?" So I said, "it means you get way too much stuff." Wm says, "oh, yeah, I am spoiled." I go, "maybe we should stop spoiling you so much, eh?" And Wm goes, "no...I think I am spoiled the right amount."
