I have been pretty bummed recently. It occurred to me a couple weeks ago that I TOTALLY should have named Flip "Cornelius Peppercorn." What a sad, sad loss. Steve said it's too late and I can't change his name. Because every party has a pooper. So, at least, I have named him Flip Peppercorn. But, I'm still coming to terms with it. Flip, for his part, gives zero figs. BUT, he does look dashing in his new sweater!! I took him for a walk yesterday and his sweater brought all the girls to the yard. One little girl became quite enamored with Flip and cried when her mom made her leave. I let her feed him a treat and she giggled when he nuzzled and licked her hand, so that made her feel better! Flip loves kiddos - and is quite the gentleman about town:

I plan to order a bunch more cold weather outfits for Flip. And a Halloween costume!! Steve thinks some bat wings would be perfect. I like it. I think we are going to make this happen! But, Steve says I am not allowed to get dog boots for his cold tootsies. Again...poooper. I will settle for a number of jazzy sweaters and, hopefully, some pajamas. He doesn't have much hair...he could catch a chill!

I guess I also need to get a winter coat for my kid. But, that's not as fun. Said kid was very angry yesterday because I told him to wear a coat. He refused. Then, he was cold. Which was, OBVIOUSLY, my fault. But, he got a 103% on his Regions Unit 1 test, so he's feeling very full of himself. He also had a police officer come to the school and talk about internet safety with the kids. So he keeps telling me not to do things online. One thing I'm not supposed to do? Send naked pictures of myself to other people. Good thing Wm told me that...as it was my main weekend plan. Wm was like, "WHY would anyone even DO that?!?" We have, apparently, not entered into that realm of The Hormone Zone yet. Thank god.
