Today was equally exciting. Wm did a great job folding his laundry so he got to go to lunch at Graffiti Burger:
On the way home, we decided to stop at Kroger since it's on the way home. I will not be going there again. They didn't have half the stuff I needed, what they did have looked subpar, and the total was only $8 less than what we spent at Whole Foods last time we went (but, Whole Foods actually had everything I wanted - so I got even more stuff!)
After we had to make a second run to Weiland's to complete our shopping, I decided to make scones for Wm's breakfasts this week. I figured as long as we had all the stuff out, I'd make a double batch. So I made some for Steve and I as well. I decided Steve and I should have a cream tea (which, I discovered as I tried to figure out where to buy clotted cream, is what Americans often erroneously call high tea - which is actually more a meal with cold meats, veggies, and breads). I'm not sure Steve was a superfan of cream tea (he kept repeating, "pip pip and all that!" with a bad British accent), but he LOVED the lemon curd! We all couldn't believe how amazing the scones were. Then I realized why. I usually make them with whole wheat flour so they are a better breakfast for Wm...but I forgot this time. And here's my question - why did god make white flour so delicious if it's supposed to be bad for you?
