Starving

Well, I am starving Wm. I have given up. I am tired of cooking two dinners and/or listening to Wm whine about what is on the table. So I told him yesterday that he can eat what I serve or he doesn't eat at all - and if he doesn't eat, his dinner goes into the fridge and he can eat it any time that evening, but that's what there is to eat. No more bickering. Simple. Eat. Don't eat. That's the choice and there's nothing else to talk about.

So, Wm ate half a banana for dinner yesterday. He was especially annoying because he seemed totally unbothered. There was no whining. He never said he was hungry. It was like he didn't care at all. This was not what I expected. He just ate his banana and then sat there and chatted while Steve and I ate. Then he put his plate in the fridge and did his homework, read for a while, played a computer game, and went to bed. I asked him at his usual snack time if he wanted to heat up his dinner and he said no. I asked, "Aren't you hungry?" and he just goes, "Yeah...but I'm not eating that." So he didn't. He just went to sleep. I figured he'd wake up ravenous, but he didn't even finish his breakfast. HE IS KILLING ME. He has no padding to weather this! But I will not back down. That kid is going to eat normally if it's the last thing I do!

Lastly, I thought this was funny...
Wm came downstairs after his shower without his glasses on.
Me: You look weird.
Wm: Why?
Me: You don't have your glasses on and your face looks weird.
Wm: Oh yeah. It's because my eyebrows are invisible.
Me: YES!
I loved that Wm had also thought he looked weird, studied himself in the mirror, and decided it was because his blond eyebrows are invisible. Which is TOTALLY TRUE. Ha!
